News and Opinions
Now that most of our
western bishops have long abandoned championing the Catholic
faith for the safer option of social gospel plaititudes
and lowest common denominator Christian bromides, Catholic
Blogs have become an indespensible source of information
and inspiration for Catholics.
C-FAM
(Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute) A
suberb site that monitors the social policy debate
at the United Nations and other international institutions.
It is dedicated to reestablishing a proper understanding
of international law, protecting national sovereignty
and the dignity of the human person. C-FAM personnel
have participated in every major UN social policy debate
since 1997 including the Rome Statutes of the International
Criminal Court, the Convention on Disabilities, Cairo+5,
Beijing+5 and dozens of others. C-FAM publishes and
promotes scholarship related to the proposition that
the UN and other international institutions harm a
true understanding of international law and in the
process undermine the family and other institutions
man requires for a just, free and happy life. C-FAM
regularly interfaces with diplomats, policy makers,
academics, activists and office holders from around
the world.

Society for a Good Time Take their name
from a childhood group of St. John Bosco, "We
study to eschew anything which causes sadness, that
is, anything which is contrary to the will of God." Further,
we exist to promote the living Tradition of the Catholic
Church, mindful of the prayers of the living as well
as the democracy of the dead, under the dual patronage
of St. Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort, Apostle of
Our Lady, and St. Pius X, Hammer of the Modernists.

Happiness (Love Undefiled) An excellent
pro-life blog runs by Robert Colquhoun, a dynamic young
pro-life activist and the force behind the 40-days
for Life campaign. Unfortunately, the blog is
a little besotted with the late Pope
JP2; if ever there was an emperor with
no clothes it was surely JP2. The only reason
that his beatification was rushed through with
unseemly haste is because aging liberals in the Vatican
want to canonise the golden calf of Vatican II. The
blog is also into JP2’s theology of the body,
as if Catholics have spent the last 2,000 years waiting
for JP2 to come along before they could understand
how to love in accordance with God’s will!
Fr
Tim Finigan's Blog: An excellent
site managed by a good priest. Father celebrates
the traditional rite every Sunday. This sparked a hissy-fit
by parish liberals; you know the ones that like to
be "inclusive". This brought the Tablet
in like the 5th Cavalry. This brought so much
sympathy for father that he was able to purchase a
new set of vestments out of all the donations he received.

Caritate Non Ficta On October 15,
2008, after two years as an officer in the Navy, the
author of this blog's life changed when he was diagnosed
with an inoperable brain tumor. Putting his
concerns in the hands of the Blessed Virgin Mary and
my trust in Our Lord Jesus Christ, he pray that I may
be faithful to the Holy Catholic Faith and serve the
Church for the rest of my life.
Mark
Shea Mark Shea calls his blog "Catholic
and Enjoying It". He is a popular Catholic
writer and speaker who describes himself as a double-jump
convert: raised more or less as an agnostic pagan,
became a non-denominational Evangelical in 1979, and
entered the Catholic Church in 1987.
