Putin's Black Eye

The Modernist is a duplicitous sort who for the most part prefers life in the shadows.  However, his vanity is such, that every so often he cannot resist the urge to break cover and do a little what-a-clever-fellow-am-I dance before slinking back into the shadows.

I'm not too certain why the above thoughts sprang to mind while reading a letter from one Fr Julian Shurgold (I believe, the parish priest of Holy Family, Sutton, Surrey) in the Catholic Herald (23/05/2014) concerning the Eurovision "song" contest:

" ... I'm certain Conchita got votes solely because she [SIC] was a bearded drag queen.  Yet her victory was a well deserved black eye for Putin, certain members of the Russian Orthodox Church and other vile, bullying Russian homophobes.  Apparently many leading Russians were seriously upset by Conchita.  Well, it all goes to show that there may be justice in the world after all!"

It must come as an enormous consolation to the faithful to find that their clergy have the sort of brilliant minds that enables them to put together such scintillating and incisive letter at the drop of a hat.  Nevertheless, whilst I'm no bag carrier for Putin, he doesn't actually strike me as the sort of man who would be throwing in the towel on account of a black eye.

However, correct me if I'm wrong, but all that Putin has done on the homosexual front is to outlaw homosexuals promoting their lifestyle (more accurately "death style") to minors.  This is analogous to the British government criminalising the promotion of smoking to minors.  And given that the average homosexual dies considerably younger than your average chain-smoker, it would seem neither an entirely irrational measure nor an entirely uncaring one. 

Indeed, given the number of young people whose lives have been appallingly blighted by the sexual abuse of some Catholic clergy, and given the fact that over ninety percent of the victims of this abuse have been adolescent boys, it would seem a shame that the popes have not taken a leaf out of Putin's book and clipped the wings of the predatory sodomites among our own clergy and prelates - ten's of thousands of young people would been spared unspeakable suffering had the popes had the Christian decency and courage to have done so.  

Instead, the laity have had to sit back and watch popes like the late "Saint" JP2 the "Great" rewarding the likes of Cardinal Law, a depraved serial protector of rapacious sodomites among the clergy, with plum jobs - all wages paid of course from the widow's mite.

I suspect what really pisses Father off is the fact that the Russians appear not to have bought the propaganda lie, which is churned out ad nuseum by the militant homofascist collective, and their godless media allies, to the effect that homosexuals are born that way.  There is nothing quite so guaranteed to have a liberal, lefty, Modernist (its all the same thing) spitting blood than a  refusal to buy their propaganda - they seem to take it very personal. 

Springtime Update British Bishop talking out of both sides of his mouth at once - no surprises there then.

Archbishop Peter Smith of Southwark has clarified that a plea by the bishops for the rights of Catholics in polygamous civil unions should not be interpreted as a shift in the Church's position on the subject.

Archbishop Smith's intervention came after a Bishops' Conference statement was taken as being an endorsement of polygamous civil unions.

The bishops' statement, a submission to a government consultation, said existing polygamous civil unions should not be abolished or merged into polygamous marriages.

The bishops said: "Some polygamous Catholics do not wish to enter into civil polygamous marriages because of their deeply held belief that marriage is between two people only, but still wish to enjoy the legal rights that are contained in their polygamous civil unions. The removal of the option for polygamous people to enter into polygamous civil unions would cause great harm to polygamous Catholics and others."

The statement was signed by Archbishop Smith, the bishops' chairman of the department for Christian Responsibility and Citizenship.

Archbishop Smith said that the statement "should not be misinterpreted as a wider commentary on polygamous civil unions in general".

There you have it: I bet you are all dead clear now on what the Church teaches about polygamous "marriages".  The above is of course a spoof, what the bishop was really talking about was two men addicted to the unhealthy, unnatural depravity of using one another's lower bowel as a sex organ being given some sort of legal recognition.  It is apparently now part of Christian Responsibility and Citizenship to assist those committed to a life of grave sin on their way to hell.  Apparently, the idea that Christian Responsibility involved calling those so committed to repentance went down the tubes with Vat2.  How about the rights of necrophiliacts to keep a licensed corpse in their house, or the rights of crapophiliacts to have access to the sewers?  Why is it that only some sexual deviants have rights - our lefty bishops are not that inclusive it turns out after all?

Pope Francis' visit to the Holy Land had a few tense moments. First, he prayed at the graffiti-covered separation barrier (nicknamed the "Apartheid Wall" by the Palestinians and their Western leftist supporters) between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. Then, he corrected Bibi Netanyahu about Jesus' native language. Both of these events were widely commented on in the media.

But it was Francis' meeting with the two chief rabbis of Israel and its aftermath that was truly controversial and worthy of note. As numerous traditionalist and sedevacantist Catholics pointed out, Francis tucked in his pectoral cross when meeting with Rabbis David Lau and Yitzhak Yosef. This is apparently his longtime custom when meeting with rabbis. When he was still Archbishop of Buenos Aires, the future pope took off his cross and donned a Judaic skullcap when he celebrated Hanukkah with the local Jewish community.  More

HUMAN RIGHT HERO OR ADVOCATE FOR PAEDOPHILIA?

The purported human rights hero Peter Tatchell was in The Guardian yesterday arguing about the age of consent. Errr, why? Why does Peter Tatchell want more sex education, for younger children, and a lower age of consent?

The Guardian, a newspaper which has long been sympathetic to his position, provides a platform for him to make a rather nonsensical argument which really makes me feel uncomfortable. It seems to be about affirming & decriminalising our mistakes and errors. If something is wrong, you simply change the law to make it right. It's nothing about addressing the underlying issues which cause the problem. Baffling. Unless you look back a few years an check Peter Tatchell's long history on this issue.

Having posted the Guardian link on my Facebook page, my friend the journalist Ruari McCallion, who has a considerable advantage on me both in terms of age and wisdom, supplied me with some interesting history which exposes Peter Tatchell's claim to be a 'human rights campaigner' for the tissue of mendacity it is. He is a campaigner for unregulated sex with children - the only restriction would be civil lawsuit, which only the wealthy would be able to afford.

As an 18-year-old Australian immigrant, Peter Tatchell came to the UK in 1971 seeking to avoid the Vietnam draft. He first lived with a 16-year-old boy in London. The homosexual age of consent in England at the time was 21 (the lowering of the homosexual age of consent was forced through Parliament using special government powers in 2000). Later he campaigned for lowering it to 16, and now he wants it lowered again to 14. What will he want after that?

When the age of consent for homosexuals was lowered to 16, an Outrage banner (that's Tatchell's homosexual pressure group) said “16 is just a start”. Hmmmm I wonder what the anticipated goal would be?  MORE

Abortionist Gets His Comeuppance Kermit the Butcher Escapes Death Penalty A story the main stream media has done its level best to bury (Abortionists you see are always squeaky clean, women and choice loving heroes as far as the Left is concerned)

The following story is one the main stream media has done its best to bury.  Kermit Barron Gosnell (born February 9, 1941) is a former American physician from Pennsylvania.  In 2013, Gosnell was convicted of murdering three infants who were born alive during abortion procedures.

Gosnell ran the Women's Medical Society abortion clinic in Philadelphia, PA.  In 2011, Gosnell and various co-defendant employees were charged with eight counts of murder, 24 felony counts of performing illegal abortions beyond the state of Pennsylvania’s 24 week time limit, and 227 misdemeanour counts of violating the 24-hour informed consent law. The murder charges related to an adult patient, Karnamaya Mongar, who died following an abortion procedure and seven newborns said to have been killed, by having their spinal cord severed with scissors, after being born alive during attempted abortions.

In May 2013, Gosnell was convicted of first degree murder in the deaths of three of the infants and he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Karnamaya Mongar. Gosnell was also convicted of 21 felony counts of illegal late-term abortion, and 211 counts of violating the 24-hour informed consent law.

After his conviction, Gosnell waived his right to appeal in exchange for an agreement not to seek the death penalty.  He was sentenced instead to life in prison without the possibility of parole.  That means he will die in prison, and the world is just a tad safer as a result.

The Society of St. Pius X Now Has 600 Priests

Edit: from the Society's US Site featuring the ordination of 7 new priests and 5 deacons. There were over 1,000 laity in attendance for this glorious event. The harvest is plentiful and the labourers are few, but in a Church which has become a vocational desert in the years following the New Springtime, there are oasis.

As of Friday, June 13th, the Society of St. Pius X has 12 reasons for rejoicing.  For on that day, in continuance of the SSPX's mission to form priests, Bishop Bernard Fellay ordained 7 new alter Christi and 5 deacons at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, Minnesota.

The seminary has published on its website not only a gallery of images of the ordinations, but also a list of the First Masses that the newly-ordained priests will be offering. Also available via DICI is an audio recording of Bishop Fellay's ordination sermon.

Please keep these new priests and deacons of the Roman Catholic Church in your prayers, that they may faithfully serve their Divine Master in His vineyard for the salvation of souls.

Note: also, in Zaitzkofen/Oberpfalz. On Saturday, the 28th of June, Bishop Tissier de Mallerais will ordain five priests and three deacons. The ceremony will begin in the castle garden at 9 in the morning. In addition, Bishop de Galarreta will ordain eight seminarians and a religious to the grace of the priesthood and seven others to the rank of deacons of Holy Mother the Church in Ecône.  This will bring the society in the near future to more than 600 priests.

Thus the SSPX has not only provided the seed-corn for almost every traditional order on the planet, including the FSSP, but they will ordain more priests this year than the entire English and Welsh hierarchy added together.  How have they achieved this remarkable feat?  By staying faithful to tradition - which ought to be a no-brainer for any genuine Catholic.

Removing the rosary from the fingers of a dead priest

When I was a young man, I served in the Royal Army Medical Corp.  One of the essential skills of a soldier in those days was darning one's own socks.  You were even issued with a special kit for this job that consisted of a needle, a ball of wool and a plastic mushroom shaped gadget to stretch your sock over while darning it.  Many a soldier in those days even had darns in his darns.

I was stationed at a British Military Hospital in Paris, where we nursed not only British servicemen, but also British Embassy staff and a few well oiled French nationals.  When a Frenchman dies, his family dress him up like he was going to church for a special occasion - I suppose if you think about it that is exactly what he was doing.  This would often involve buying him new clothes, even a new suit.

As I walked down the corridor on the way to the mortuary with the new cloths draped over my arm, I would have to pass my Sergeant Majors office.  He would shout to me as I passed, "Stick that stiff's new socks in your kitbag soldier, and put a pair of your army socks on him."

I confess to a slight temptation to obey his instructions, but robbing the dead or the bereaved seemed just too low to crawl, and I instinctively recoiled from the idea.  And note, I didn't even really know the deceased beyond having nursed them for a few days.

Yet Pope Humble the 1st has no qualms about publicly confessing, without apparently expressing any remorse, to removing the rosary cross from the fingers of a dead priest friend; a rosary cross which one can only assume his family had wanted buried with him.

I make no further comment.  I'm content to leave readers to draw their own conclusions.

Communion on the Tongue

Receiving on the tongue has been mandatory in the Western church for twelve centuries.  In this short video, Oxford Professor Joseph Shaw — Chairman of the Latin Mass Society — helps us understand receiving Holy Communion from both an historical and a current day perspective.  Click on the image below to be taken to the website, where you can view the short video.

My only issue with Joseph is the adoption of the terms "ordinary" and "extraordinary" when referring to the Novus Ordo and the traditional Mass. These are mealy mouthed Modernist terms fabricated to conceal the truth and push a fake view of reality.  As such they belong in the same dustbin as terms like "final solution", "products of conception", "sexual orientation", "reproductive rights" and similar weasel words designed to distort reality. There is absolutely nothing "ordinary" about a doctrinally dumbed down, Protestantized rite fabricated by a committee under the direction of a Freemason with input from six heresiarchs.  If that is "ordinary" then I am writing this riding a camel.

Another Cheer-Up Moment

While pro-abort zealots tend to be either elderly or ugly or both, pro-lifers seem to be getting younger by the day.  There can be no natural explanation for this, because nothing in our contemporary culture, media, academia or Church explains the existence of these wonderful young people, they are like pure white roses flourishing out of season among sterile rocks.  To see a beautiful example of exactly what I mean, click on the image below:
